What AIMday offers

AIMday is a day for curious conversations. One hour per question – focused enough to go deep, open enough to explore.

Organisations and researchers come together around questions of shared interest. Through discussions in small groups, we share perspectives, experiences and ideas – often resulting in new insights and contacts, and sometimes in collaborations that continue well beyond the day itself.

For companies and organisations

As a participating organisation, you will have the opportunity to

• discuss your practice-oriented questions with researchers from different disciplines
  
• gain new perspectives on the challenges you face
• explore opportunities for research and development collaborations
• get to know different research environments and methods at Umeå University
• establish contacts for future needs (for example commissioned education or PhD projects)
  
• meet other organisations working on similar issues.

For researchers

As a participating researcher, you will have the opportunity to

• learn about organisations’ current issues and challenges
• gain inspiration for new research questions and projects
• build relationships for future collaboration and empirical research
• meet researchers from other subject areas with similar interests
• use your expertise in dialogue with organisations on concrete operational challenges
• apply for development funds for continued collaboration
• identify relevant societal challenges and potential partners for future calls for proposals.
