You bring the knowledge. We bring the tools.
Is your university keen to strengthen its collaborations with business and society?
AIMday offers you an effective tool for creating new contacts, improving knowledge exchange and laying the foundation for collaborations that benefit both research and education.
Since 2013, Uppsala University has developed AIMday – over time together with other universities. The support offered includes a manual, specially designed digital tools to make scheduling easy, and introductory training. These tools ensure that AIMday events can be implemented as effectively as possible regardless of where they are arranged in the world.
Uppsala University enters into agreements with universities that wish to organise AIMday and charges a fixed fee for the AIMday concept, which includes training, support, and our website service.
A structured method
AIMday offers a structured approach to knowledge exchange between academia and society that creates added value for higher education institutions in Sweden and internationally. The concept consists of a process with six defined steps – from planning to follow-up.

Getting started with AIMday
We invite you to contact Uppsala University to discuss AIMday. As soon as an agreement is in place, your university will have access to the support needed to get started and move forward!
Choosing a theme for your AIMday event
As a collaborative method, AIMday can be used in all fields and on any theme. The most important thing is that the theme reflects the internal strengths and interests of the university that is organising the AIMday event.
How much does it cost to organise AIMday?
Organising an AIMday is an investment in future collaborations and knowledge exchange. As such, it involves certain costs.
Event venues are needed for gatherings and workshops, as well as lunch, snacks and, potentially, marketing materials. A team is required for planning and execution.
To organise an AIMday, you will need to pay a fixed fee to Uppsala University, which includes a website service, training and support for two years.
Experience shows that funding for feasibility studies, which researchers can apply for, can be an effective way to drive collaborative projects forward.
