Welcome to AIMday Data, Digital and AI

Are you faced with a technical challenge relating to AI, data or digital technologies with no off-the-shelf solution? The University of Edinburgh will host AIMday Data, Digital and AI as a hybrid event on 10 September 2026 at the Bayes Centre, the University’s Innovation Hub for Data Science and AI, to tackle real-world problems across sectors with input from our leading experts.

What is AIMday?

AIMday® (Academic Industry Meeting day) are made up of purpose-built focused workshops where companies and organisations bring real-world challenges and discuss them with academics from across University, enabling exploration of new solutions, de-risking of innovation, and identification of potential partners for future collaboration.

Technology is currently progressing at an unprecedented rate. Expectations on long-term business benefit from Generative AI remain high while concerns are raised about a potentially imminent AI bubble. Questions abound about AI opportunities and risks alike.

Join this AIMday to explore your challenges, identify new and alternative approaches, and build relationships to develop novel data, digital, and AI solutions.

What do we offer?

What challenges can you bring?

To participate in AIMday, you need to submit at least one challenge phrased as a question, which you wish to discuss in a small workshop setting.
