AIMday brings academia and society closer together
As a knowledge-driven organisation, Umeå University strives to provide students and staff with unique opportunities for learning and development – whilst simultaneously serving society with new knowledge and creative citizens. The AIMday concept enables stimulating connections between researchers, local industry, the public sector and society in general.
What’s in it for the university?
AIMday offers an informal, personal and efficient concept that provides opportunities for researchers at Umeå University and external parties to exchange knowledge, and together generate project ideas linked to organisational and societal challenges. AIMday also enables researchers to connect across institutional and faculty boundaries, which can generate new multidisciplinary research projects with scientific and societal relevance.
Why AIMday?
AIMday is a flexible and inclusive model, applicable to all research areas. The meeting format with one hour-sessions is efficient and the discussions bring people with shared interests together. Through the sessions, participants can find collaboration activities of mutual benefit and generate joint research projects with organisational and social relevance. Which is beneficial for both the university and the wider community. AIMday brings academia and society closer together.
