AIMday gives academic researchers and external organisations the opportunity to meet, initiate conversations and share knowledge about predefined challenges. The idea is to provide in-depth knowledge, new perspectives and ideas that can help shed light on challenges in new ways. The discussions create favourable conditions for continued dialogue and collaboration.

AIMday as a method was developed by Uppsala University in 2008 and is today a valued collaboration method at several universities in Sweden and in other parts of the world. AIMday stands for Academic Industry Meeting day.

AIMday is an example of how we seek new ways to develop our collaboration with the surrounding society. The concept was launched at Uppsala University in 2008 and has since gained a strong reputation among leading universities around the world. By enabling other universities to use the AIMday concept and by supporting its implementation locally, we strive to promote an even more active and rewarding collaboration between academia and society worldwide.
